• What is Extension Of Coverage?
  Extension of Coverage is the time period a traveler’s policy can provide benefits beyond their scheduled return date if they are unable to return home for a reason out of their control. In the event of a medical-related delay, most providers require a documented diagnosis from a licensed medical professional.

• What am I covered for?
  Extending Coverage

  All coverage (except Trip Cancellation and Cancel for Any Reason) will be extended, if:

  a) the Insured’s entire Trip is covered by the plan; and

  b) the Insured’s return is delayed by one of the Unforeseen events specified under Trip Cancellation and Interruption or Trip Delay.

  Request for extension of coverage will not be permitted if there is any known claimable event on the policy and the Insured does not identify this at the time of extension.

  This extension of coverage will end on:

  a) the date the Insured reaches his/her Return Destination; or

  b) 7 days after the date the Trip was scheduled to be completed.
